The Pokémon Company International, a worldwide leader in trading card games, today announced that Nicholas Boyer of McKinney placed third at the McKinney Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) City Championships.

Kingwood Toastmasters celebrates 20 years

At this time of year being grateful for the small things seems to have the most importance, doesn't it? When I think of gratitude, I think of how satisfied, complete and worthy it makes me feel.

Eighty-five years ago, Dr. Ralph C. Smedley held the first official Toastmasters meeting in the basement of a YMCA in Santa Ana, Calif.

Downtown Elementary will hold a graduation ceremony for fifth graders who have participated in the school's Toastmasters Youth Leadership Training on Tuesday, Dec. 15 at 9:30 a.m. at the school on First avenue.

HOMEWOOD | The Homewood-Flossmoor Toastmasters meets from 8 to10 a.m. on the first and third Thursdays each month at the SylvanLearning Center in Park Place Plaza, 17936 S. Halsted. The clubaims to help members become fearless speakers.
