Weekly Toastmaster meetings consist of 3 parts:
1. Prepared speeches (club members volunteer to give)
2. Evaluations (listen on positive feedback and suggestions a volunteer evaluator offers)
3. 1-2 minute mini speeches. These are unprepared, off-the-cuff comments and thoughts volunteers are invited to share. The club calls this 'table topics'.
The meeting is conducted by volunteers and is not taught by an instructor. It is a warm, supportive community that aims to support and motivate each other as members grow communication and leadership skills.
Visitors are welcome everytime and all the time. Visitors are welcome to participate, but there is no obligation to say anything. It is a comfortable setting to simply sit back and observe and see if Toastmasters is for you.
This is a newly reinstated club that is small, but growing. Now is a great time to try it out.
